Accommodated Quizzes

Standard

The standard that Michigan Virtual courses need to comply.

Accommodated versions will be made of each auto-graded Multiple-Choice quiz in Brightspace.

Requirements

What exactly do course developers need to include in order to comply with this standard?

In order to comply with 504 or IEP accommodations that require a reduced quiz choice number, a second version of each quiz will need to be created in the Brightspace course. The Accommodated Version of each quiz should have one fewer distractors for Multiple Choice questions than the original version.

Example:

Original scripted question:

  1. Question
    1. Correct Answer
    2. Distractor 1
    3. Distractor 2
    4. Distractor 3

Accommodated quiz question:

  1. Question
    1. Correct Answer
    2. Distractor 1
    3. Distractor 2

Note:
If possible, the Subject Matter Expert should indicate which distractor can be removed on the quiz script.
